This story arc is bad ass. Period. Yes, the Black Lanterns are basically zombies, and yes, zombies get old with the lurching and brain-eating, but this is more like zombies crossed with Green Lanterns, so they have scary super powers the JLA might not be up to combating. I especially liked how the Black Lanterns need emotional reactions to thrive, using the memories of the reanimated corpses to unsettle and provoke the heroes. Getting every Lantern Corps together in one battle was also inspired, both from a creative and marketing standpoint.
